Senior Choir

The purpose of the choir is to worship God through music and to lead congregational singing. The singing is usually in four-part music which requires the ability to read music or sol-fa notation and to hold the appropriate line.

A typical Sunday requires the choir to sing two Introits and an Anthem, in addition to leading hymn singing. Of recent years, modern informal music has been incorporated into worship with pleasing results. As well as the organ, we have a  grand piano and a Clavinova in the church.

The Choir undertakes two major choral events each year in the form of a Service of Nine Lessons and Carols at Christmas and a Maundy Thursday Service at Easter.

The choir meets to practice on Wednesdays from and at on Sundays from September to June.
